Portenta H7 Lite
This board features an STM32H747 dual-core microcontroller, combining a Cortex-M7 core at 480 MHz with a Cortex-M4 core at 240 MHz. The H7 Lite's two cores enable real-time, parallel processing, allowing it to run Arduino or MicroPython code simultaneously for complex, hybrid applications. The difference from the standard H7 is the focus on core computational functionality without added video or connectivity capabilities.
The H7 Lite supports AI on the edge, capable of running TensorFlow Lite for tasks such as computer vision with the Portenta Vision Shield, while its dual-core structure allows one core to handle high-level algorithms while the other manages tasks like motor control. With two 80-pin high-density connectors and USB-C, the Portenta H7 Lite is designed for scalability across various industrial applications, from robotics controllers and PLCs to laboratory and high-speed machinery.
